Comment:My mother born Vera Elizabeth Trenam was born in Nelson (now called Gordonvale), Nth. Queensland. All I know about her father is that he was a policeman. Her mother Ellen Trenam (later Cox) was born in Cooktown, Nth. Queensland and traveled to the Northern Territory when Mum was 2 years old. As well as the children you have listed Jim and Ellen had 3 other daughters - Mona, Laurel and Charlotte Olive. I am sorry I do not have their birth dates.

Comment:I have just found your family history which includes a section on my grandfather Henry Robert Hingston in which it is stated the Henry and Rosina had one son. In fact they had six sons and one daughter. I thought perhaps this might be of interest to you for the sake of accuracy. Regards Robert Hingston

Comment:Hi, Francis and Mary French are my Great Great Great Grandparents by virtue of William Mitchell marrying Mary French. I note you have some information here about William Mitchell but the same as I already know. Sadly my lines of inquiry run out at his being baptised at Pelynt in 1806. If anyone knows any further information about William (actual birth, date and mode of travel to Australia etc) I would be very grateful.
